During my recent city break at the DoubleTree by Hilton Midland Plaza, I found the location to be a major highlight, sitting directly across from the Bush Conference Center—an ideal setup for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel boasts friendly staff who were consistently attentive, making our stay feel personal and welcoming. Although our bathroom felt a bit outdated with limited counter space, the room was well laid out, and I especially appreciated the double shower heads—a small touch that adds comfort after a long day of exploring. The amenities like the rooftop bar and dining options at Eatery 117 offered a perfect blend of relaxation and socialization, giving me the chance to enjoy a meal while engaging with colleagues I traveled with. Despite encountering hot water issues, the staff went above and beyond to address our concerns, exemplifying their commitment to guest satisfaction. While there were minor drawbacks in terms of decor, the warm atmosphere and prime location made the experience worthwhile, especially for someone like me who values both convenience and comfort.
